Allocation policy

Before you subscribe, make sure you carefully read the information below

You may not receive a full allocation of your investment amount. If the offer is oversubscribed, the company may scale back applications – this means you only receive a proportion of the investment amount you apply for. In some circumstances, the lead broker determines the extent of the scale back and we’re required to apply these terms across all applications we’ve received. We’ll try to let you know the terms of any scale back that could affect your application. The lead broker may also allocate us a set quantity and let us decide the terms of the scale back. In this case, we aim to scale back applications on a pro-rata basis.

This allocation policy is subject to change and we reserve the right to apply scale back terms other than those described in this allocation policy. If it changes, we will try to notify you by email and update the listing on the Smart Investor website. 

Any allocation you receive is contractually binding

We’ll try to confirm the allocation policy by email. Once we send the email to your internet service provider (ISP), we consider the policy delivered, whether you receive it or not. We’ll also send you a contract note within three working days of the allocation, confirming the exact number of shares you’ll receive. Please keep a record of this for future reference.
